It didn't arrive the way I imagined love
would.
There was no moment, no spark I could
point to.


Just a warmth that appeared one day
and decided to stay.


It lived in small things at first
ordinary days, passing thoughts,
the space between one moment and the
next.


Sometimes it grew slowly,
almost patiently.
Other times it came all at once,
as if it had always been there


I didn't chase it.
I didn't choose it.


I only noticed how everything changed
around it.
