“Wish for Dawn”
When I painted this, my heart was heavy with the sound of hospital whispers and quiet prayers. My father was ill, and time felt still — suspended between fear and faith.
Each stroke became a way to breathe, to release what words couldn’t hold. I wasn’t painting an ocean or a sky — I was painting the feeling of hoping anyway.
Of standing in the middle of uncertainty and still believing that light will find its way back.
There’s something about nights like that — when the world is quiet and the only thing left to do is trust.
You begin to understand that hope isn’t loud.
It doesn’t demand attention.
It lives quietly, deep inside, like the soft pulse of the tide.
This piece is for anyone who has ever waited beside someone they love, wishing for a better tomorrow.
It’s for those moments when the moon feels closer than comfort, and yet — you keep your eyes open, waiting for dawn.
Because sometimes, believing that tomorrow might be better is enough to help you make it through today.
